Information for Webmasters

Getting Listed

.Netoogle is free for qualified sites. However, we make no warranty regarding the availability of the service. If you add a link to Hodgenville.net on your homepage using the approved logo, you will be included just by sending an e-mail to city_hall@hodgenville.net directing us to the page where our link is located, and we will add you to the next index. Otherwise, please visit Get Listed. Once we have received your application, we will review your site. If it meets our requirements for eligibility, your entry point will be added to our index. Should your site not meet our eligibility requirements, we will notify you of such and, if circumstances warrant it, tell you why we refused your application.

Spidering

Our spider runs on average at least once per month and usually begins on the first day of each month. The .Netoogle spiders obey standard search engine permissions such as robot.txt files. In addition, we index every page possible below the gateway page including dynamically generated pages. However, if we discover a spider trap, we will stop scanning below that point in the future until we have received confirmation from you that the problem has been rectified.

There are three ways that you can add .Netoogle search results to your site. You can supply a URL that returns the results of a predetermined query. You can create a search form for your site, or you can add a .Netoogle search form that searches all of .Netoogle.
